Are you interested in developing new energy market models and
optimization functions for real industrial smart grid applications?

**This isa 6-12 month opportunity** that may be the right internship opportunity for
you!

**In this role you will work on-site inPrinceton, NJ.**

With the Autonomous Systems and Control group you will investigate
new energy market models and optimization functions for smart grids.

Our close
contact with different business units in Siemens provides the opportunity to
contribute to and gain experience in real industrial applications.

During this
internship, you will experience the excitement and challenges of industrial
research.

**Key responsibilities:**

+ Contribute to industrial software projects on modeling andoptimization for energy markets and smart grids
+ Collaborate and exchange ideas with experts in the fieldsof modeling, control and optimization
+ Implement concepts and solutions in Python programminglanguage.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ A Bachelor’s degree or current M.Sc. or PhD studentpursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similarmajors
+ Programming knowledge and hands-on experience with Python,Git and common coding principles, e.g., writing clean, reusable code
+ Domain knowledge in energy systems
+ Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

**Preferred Qualification** :

+ Advanced algorithm development
+ Experience in power systems, energy trading and ancillaryservices
+ Mathematical optimization
+ Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing, dynamic,interdisciplinary team of experts

**May consider sponsorship of J-1 visa students (6-12months), dependent upon program requirements.**

A successful candidate must be able to work with
controlled technology in accordance with US Export Control Law.
