**Salary/Pay** **Range** : $50,186 - $66,194 annually.

Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

**Work Location** : This position has the option to work partially remote as determined with the supervisor.

**Summary**

The College of Business (COB) Engagement & Events Program Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive outreach, communications, and event strategies that elevate the visibility and impact of COB programs.

This position collaborates with campus marketing and communications, faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across digital, print, and in-person channels.

As a key contributor to the College's external engagement and visibility efforts, the Program Manager leads event oversight, budget management, content planning, and digital engagement.

Reporting to the Dean (or designated leadership) with a dotted line to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Marketing and Communications, this role requires a proactive, organized, and creative professional who can manage multiple priorities and guide a team in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends is essential.

Other duties as assigned.

**Essential Functions**
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

**Projects and Event Oversight (50%)**
**_UCCS Ethics Initiatives at the College of Business_**

+ Plans and coordinates Ethics Initiatives events such as competitions, case studies, workshops, seminars, and speaker series.
+ Oversees full-cycle event management including speaker and venue selection, technology support, catering, outreach, agenda creation, budget oversight, and procurement.
+ Arranges group travel for speakers, faculty, and students; occasionally travels to offsite events.
+ Serves as the primary point of contact for vendors and resolves logistical issues.
+ Delegates event promotion and logistical tasks to the Communications Specialist and ensures timely execution.

**_UCCS Economic Forum_**

+ Manages communications for the Economic Forum, including weekly emails and periodic newsletters to partners.
+ Plans and executes the annual Economic Forum event, including registration, ticketing, speaker coordination, venue logistics, and volunteer management.
+ Coordinates quarterly partner events and supports partnership cultivation and sponsorship development.

**_Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) Programming_**

+ Oversees all event and logistical aspects of the CFE programming, including venue selection, travel, catering, and vendor coordination.
+ Designs and produces program materials such as signage, swag, speaker gifts, and print collateral.
+ Coordinates with the CFE Academic Director to maintain community partnerships and support program delivery.
+ Manages communications and stakeholder outreach for the program, including email campaigns and public updates.
+ Oversees registration, participant interviews, and Cvent page development.
+ Co-manages the CFE event budget and coordinates technology needs for both virtual and in-person sessions.
+ Recruits and manages volunteers to support program logistics and participant experience.
+ Advises the Academic Director on curriculum and event-related instructional elements.

**_EPIIC Events_**

+ Assists with planning, engagement, and day-of coordination for EPIIC events including Venture Attractor, Torch Grants, The Garage at UCCS, and EPIIC Nights.

**_Sport Management Program Events_**

+ Coordinates logistics for Sport Management events such as the Annual Banquet, Senior Night, and Network Night.
+ Manages venue, catering, and photography arrangements.
+ Develops and distributes engagement emails and informational materials.
+ Oversees event layout, day-of coordination, and AV/technology support.
+ Manages event budgets and ensures compliance with university policies.

**_Executive Education, Career Development Center, PGA Golf, Alumni, and External Relations Events_**

+ Collaborates with Faculty Directors to plan and execute events.
+ Coordinates logistics including catering, venue selection, signage, and participant communication.
+ Manages event budgets, financial reporting, and payment collection.
+ Anticipates and plans for potential event risks or disruptions.

**Strategic Outreach and Communications (30%)**

+ This role contributes to institutional visibility, community and stakeholder engagement, and strategic program support through effective coordination of external events and communications.
+ Oversees the development and dissemination of information and updates across COB platforms, including social media, email, website, print, and digital informational materials.
+ Provides editorial oversight and ensures all communications align with COB branding, AP style, accessibility standards, and university guidelines.
+ Approves and guides the creation of event communications and informational materials.
+ Leads the use of the College's event platform (Cvent) for event registration, communications, and stakeholder engagement; supports and trains other users as needed.
+ Leads outreach and engagement efforts, ensuring strategic outreach to campus and community stakeholders.

**Digital Engagement and Program Evaluation (20%)**

+ Leads the strategy and oversight of the COB website and digital presence, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with institutional goals.
+ Interprets analytics data (e.g., Google Analytics, social media metrics) to evaluate communication reach and stakeholder engagement to guide decision-making.
+ Reviews performance reports prepared by the Communications Specialist and adjusts strategies accordingly.
+ Develops and manages the communications and engagement annual budget, aligning expenditures with program goals and fiscal constraints.
+ Monitors all communications-related spending and ensures responsible use of resources.

**Tentative Search Timeline**

**Qualifications**

+ A completed **Bachelor's degree** is required.
+ Full-time equivalent professional work experience in **large event planning or event management** (for example, as a job duty of a current or previous position) is required.

Large events are being defined as including a minimum of 25 attendees, speaker & venue selection, technology support, catering management, and agenda creation.

The following experience is highly desirable:

+ Experience and understanding of event planning and event management software such as Cvent.
+ Experience working for a university or a non-profit company.
+ Experience with CRM and/or eComm tools, and/or Canva.
+ Experience with direct mail programs (traditional and electronic), advertising, promotional materials, media relations, and web and database marketing.
+ Experience in partnerships and sponsorships.
