Engine Simulation Engineer Location:

Responsibilities:



  • Build and run 0D and 1D simulation models to analyze and predict engine behavior.

  • Collaborate with our 3D CFD team to support holistic modeling approaches.
  • Analyze simulation and experimental results to identify performance gaps and propose development strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional design and test teams to drive engine improvements.
  • Contribute to engine calibration and hands-on testing as needed.
  • Develop and follow standardized simulation procedures specific to our unique rotary X-engine platform.
  • Communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  • Stay on the cutting edge of simulation tools and engine technology trends through self-directed learning and formal training.

Requirements:



  • MS in Mechanical Engineering (BS with significant relevant experience also considered).

  • Strong grasp of thermodynamics, physics, and combustion engine efficiency principles.
  • Professional experience correlating engine simulations with real-world testing.

    3+ years of hands-on experience using GT-Power or similar 1D engine simulation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to self-direct.
  • Familiarity with DOE and optimization techniques.
