Position: Biomedical Data Engineer
Location: Necco Street, Boston, MA

Position Overview
Client is seeking a Biomedical Data Engineer to support research and development across digital health technologies (DHTs).
This role involves biomedical data integration, analysis, and engineering to advance product development and clinical research.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior Biomedical Engineers to test digital health technologies and integrate biomedical data into advanced analytics platforms
Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows for biomedical datasets
Use Python and R for data wrangling, analysis, and visualization to support R&D initiatives
Apply biomedical engineering principles to solve signal processing, imaging, and physiological data challenges
Ensure data solutions are secure, scalable, and high quality
Perform exploratory data analysis and generate insights to guide product and clinical research
Stay current with emerging technologies in biomedical data engineering and analytics
Support in-house evaluation tests, including participant scheduling and monitoring
Manage lab space and equipment, including shipping and receiving of devices
Assist in data preparation and analysis for in-house evaluations and user acceptance tests (UATs)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Must be able to relocate to Boston, MA and work onsite/hybrid
Proficiency in Python and R with tools such as Pandas, NumPy, tidyverse, etc.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Strong organizational and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Understanding of biomedical signal processing and/or imaging technologies
Experience analyzing physiological signals (, ECG, accelerometer, PPG)
Hands-on experience with wearable sensor experiments and human subjects
Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data management tools
Experience in designing and managing ETL pipelines
