The Role:
Entegris is currently seeking an Engineer, I Process to join our Solids Engineering team.
This position will be based in our Burnet, TX facility.
In this role, you will report through the engineering organization and assist production technicians and engineers throughout the factory.
You will use your operational knowledge to assist with production troubleshooting, enhance equipment operability, support continuous improvement projects, and close investigation CAPAs. You will also serve as an operational representative in FMEA reviews, audit support and SPC reviews to drive safety and quality improvements to the factory floor.
What You’ll Do
Be the first point contact for equipment and process troubleshooting.
Escalate and work jointly with engineers when needed
Coach new engineers on the detailed operation of process equipment
Assist with management of strategic operational equipment not supported by production or facilities due to their technical nature
Lead production CIP initiatives and assist engineers with larger improvement projects
Participate in new product development (NPD) transition reviews to ensure operability is considered in the design and development
FMEAs, WI review, provisional standards, ergo, etc
Develop work instructions in coordination with engineers for new processes or as part of CAPAs
Assist with audit and investigation CAPA closures
Provide the operational voice for 8D investigations
Identify key spare parts for production equipment
Assist with closure of customer requests
What We Seek
Associate degree in a technical or mechanical field or comparable work experience;
Demonstrated chemical manufacturing experience (3+ years) with increasing responsibilities
Experience working in the SAP client database;
Manufacturing or operations experience dealing with solids chemistry desirable;
Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office applications;
Familiarity with working in ISO 9000/14000 environments;
Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment;
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
and push up to 130lbs.
Dependability with flexibility to work extended hours as needed to support business needs;
Safety focus with ability to wear appropriate PPE as required;
Ability to attain respirator certification and wear a cleanroom suit.
