The Electrical & Controls Engineer Intern will ideally have a basic understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts that will aid their communication and collaboration with other members of the Electrical & Controls Team.

Will assist role in the construction, installation, operation, maintenance and testing of electric over hydraulic control system employed at JLG.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Understand, follow, and enforce shop safety practices and policy.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the Oshkosh Way.

    Conduct duties consistent with the Company’s mission statement, quality objectives, and defined policies and procedures.
  • Promote a people first culture by integrating into and contributing to a cohesive team with creativity, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to build and install wire harnesses.
  • Ability to follow written test procedures.
  • Ability to learn and operate a Digital-Multimeter (DMM)
  • Troubleshoot electrical controls related process and component issues.
  • Instrumentation and controls debugging
  • Start-up and qualification of control systems on new equipment
  • Execute controls projects under the guidance of engineering
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Perusing a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, Controls Engineering or a related field

  • This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.
  • In the office setting, tasks may require extended computer use, sitting, and attending meetings.
  • Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors, standing, moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.
  • Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks as needed.

  • Pay Range:

    $18.00 - $37.00

    The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations.

    Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
