Engineering Technician Level I to join an innovative engineering and manufacturing team in
Tampa, FL.
This
Direct Hire position plays a key role in
setting up new machinery, programming CNC equipment, and providing technical support and training to customers.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and mechanical skills, hands-on experience with automation or robotics, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems both in-house and at customer sites.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and troubleshoot new and existing machinery and work cells.
- Program CNC equipment to produce customer samples and acceptance parts.
- Conduct quality assurance tests on new machinery prior to customer delivery.
- Train customers on proper operation, programming, and maintenance of equipment, both in-house and on-site.
- Provide timely technical support and ensure customer satisfaction through responsive service and follow-up.
- Repair and maintain products at customer sites as needed, documenting all work performed in the CRM system.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to provide feedback and implement process improvements.
- Assist in the development of new products and industrial automation solutions.
- Support global fixes, emergency releases, and product updates as directed by Engineering.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding problem status and resolution.
Requirements / Education:
- Degree or significant coursework/certifications in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 13+ years of experience programming, troubleshooting, or operating machinery.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and programming skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with motion control systems or robot programming (Fanuc preferred) a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and think creatively.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Valid Drivers License required.
