Position: Enterprise Architect
Location: Jackson, MS (Onsite Role)
Contract
MDES is seeking one (1) enterprise architect with experience in .NET applications.
The contractor will work in the state office with existing MDES technical team members to set the direction and establish the approach of an organization's operations, improves the IT infrastructure, and optimizes their business operations.
The enterprise architect works to integrate the organization's information applications and programs.
The contractor may also be required for designing, developing, and enhancing additional applications as requested.
Tasks required will be: (1) Evaluating internal functions, business development strategies and IT processes and suggesting improvements.
(2) Creating business architecture models to reflect the organization’s strategies and goals and creating and implementing business visions and goals.
(3) Evaluating systems engineering, talent recruiting and accounting models for discrepancies and vulnerabilities.
The particular contractor will support the MDES Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) application and functions required under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
Required Skills:
.NET Development and Support – 10 Years of Exp
.NET Visual Studio – Must have experience with recent versions - 10 Years of Exp
Proven work experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar role - 10 Years of Exp
Experience in modeling and graphic representations - 10 Years of Exp
Preferred Skills:
Record locking development and experience – 5 years
Application level security – 5 years
System and user level auditing – 5 Years
SQL Server Database Administration – 5 Years
Design and produce queries for quarterly, yearly, and ad hoc reports required by US Department of Labor, Legislature, and state and local partners – 5 Years
Data modeling – 5 Years
Microsoft server operating systems including Windows 2008 – 5 Years
Project Management Professional (PMP) – 5 Years
Microsoft server operating systems including Windows 2008 – 5 Years
Javascript – 5 Years
Crystal reports and reporting software – 5 Years
ETPL application – 10 Years
Problem/application resolutions for end users -5 Years
System and Solutions Architect for core business functions with knowledge of all business processes within the ETPL: ITA, OJT, and Annual Recertification (10 yrs); also MAGIC interface for all MDES payments (4 yrs)- 10/4
Object oriented programming, mainframe programming, and cross system data exchanges – 5 Years
Document and troubleshoot current web and network security issues and certificate authorities – 5 Years
Experience with Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration accounting software and MAGIC/PayMode, including interfaces with MAGIC (vendor payment system) – 4 Years
Performance Reporting Analyst to perform wage crossmatch with ITA completers to create training course report cards - 5 Years
Create and maintain testing environment and data needed for testing – 5 Years
Coordinate QA User Testing activities among various State and Local parties – 5 Years
