Title: Enterprise Architecture Consultant - Alternative Asset Management

We're looking for a highly experienced Enterprise Architecture Consultant to join our client's team and establish their new internal architecture practice.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in alternative asset management, deep expertise in modern data architecture, and a strong understanding of direct lending.

This is a unique opportunity to shape our long-term technology strategy and directly influence our investment fund's financial reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish the Enterprise Architecture Practice: You'll be the foundational member of a new internal team, responsible for designing and implementing our enterprise architecture framework and governance model.
  
  


• Deliver Foundational Architecture: Your initial focus will be on our investment fund's financial reporting.
  
  This includes:
  
  
  
  • Developing a comprehensive business case for technology transformation.
    
    
  
  
  • Creating a business capability matrix to align technology with business functions.
    
    
  
  
  • Mapping end-to-end workflows to identify inefficiencies and pain points.
    
    
  
  
  • Developing a strategic future-state roadmap for our data and business architecture.
    
    
  
  
  
  


• Influence Strategic Decisions: You will present your findings and recommendations to our C-suite executives, guiding them through a complex transformation and securing buy-in for key initiatives.
  
  


• Provide Technical Leadership: This role requires a blend of strategic consulting and hands-on technical expertise.
  
  You will advise on and, in some cases, directly contribute to the design of a modern data architecture capable of supporting our financial reporting needs.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Extensive Consulting Experience: You must have a strong background in technology consulting, with a track record of delivering complex architecture projects for large organizations.
  
  


• Alternative Asset Management Expertise: Deep knowledge of the alternative asset management industry, including its business processes, data needs, and regulatory requirements, is essential.
  
  


• Direct Lending Experience: You must have a strong understanding of how direct lending works, from deal sourcing and underwriting to portfolio management and reporting.
  
  This includes familiarity with the unique data models and workflows of private credit.
  
  


• Modern Data Architecture: You'll need hands-on experience designing and building modern data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and advanced analytics solutions, with a focus on data governance and quality.
  
  


• Legacy System Modernization: Experience with modernizing legacy data environments is a must.
  
  You should be comfortable re-architecting solutions built on SQL, Stored Procedures, SAP Business Objects, Excel, and Power BI, migrating them to a modern, cloud-native architecture.
  
  


• AI Acumen: We need someone who understands the potential of AI, including how it can be leveraged to enhance everything from deal sourcing and portfolio monitoring to risk management and operational efficiency across the firm.
  
  


• Azure Cloud Expertise: A strong understanding of the Azure cloud ecosystem is critical, as we are an 80% cloud-based organization.
  
  


• Executive Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills are a must.
  
  You should be comfortable translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical senior leaders.
  
  


• Workflow and Process Mapping: Proven ability to analyze and document complex business workflows, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  
  


• Problem-Solving Skills: A strong, analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose problems and architect creative, scalable solutions.
