Client wants this person to be able to really explain how they have used AI already.</li> <li>This person will be responsible for over 100 people, </li> <li>Also, this person MUST HAVE experience managing an Offshore team that reports into them</li> </ul> <p>The Enterprise Platform Development Director is responsible for leading the strategy, design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise platforms that support the ABS business objectives.

This role oversees cross-functional development teams, collaborates with platform architecture, and ensures the alignment of technology solutions with business goals.

The Director will drive innovation, ensure best practices in software development, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.</p> <p style="margin-bottom:4px"><b><u>Minimum years of Experience</u></b></p> <ul> <li>15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 7 years in a leadership or management role.</li> <li>Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale enterprise cloud native platforms (cloud, SaaS, or on-premises).</li> <li>Strong knowledge of modern development frameworks, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, microservices, and DevOps practices.</li> <li>Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Experience with Agile methodologies and Product Development Teams.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.</li> </ul> <p style="margin-bottom:4px"> </p> <p style="margin-bottom:4px"><b><u>Job Duties/Roles</u></b></p> <ul> <li><b>Strategic Leadership:</b> <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li>Develop and execute the enterprise platform roadmap in alignment with ABS business strategy and digital transformation initiatives.</li> <li>Act as a thought leader and transformation agent across business and IT teams to bring AI, automation, and engineering innovation into the core of enterprise capabilities.</li> <li>Partner closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cyber, Data Governance, and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to standards and policies.</li> <li>Define and continuously evolve the strategic roadmap for enterprise engineering practices-focused on resiliency, automation, observability, and intelligent delivery pipelines.</li> </ul> </li> <li><b>Team Management:</b> <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li>Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing development teams</li> <li>Drive adoption of AI-enabled software development practices, including generative AI for code generation, test script generation, defect prediction, and documentation to increase engineering productivity and reduce cycle times.</li> <li>Lead DevSecOps maturity across engineering teams to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and secure development at scale</li> <li>Manage global resource pools effectively, leveraging Global In-House Centers (e.g., Pune) and strategic partners to ensure talent scalability, productivity, and optimal delivery</li> <li>Develop and mentor a high-performing global technology team, ensuring skill development, succession planning, and retention across regions</li> </ul> </li> <li><b>Project Delivery:</b> <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li>Ensure timely and quality delivery of platform features and enhancements, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.</li> <li>Leverage global delivery models and development centers, with clear performance KPIs, intake models, and skillset alignment to business demand for this area.</li> </ul> </li> <li><b>Stakeholder Collaboration:</b> <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li>Partner with business leaders, product managers, and IT to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.</li> </ul> </li> <li><b>Technology Governance:</b> <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li>Establish and enforce development standards, best practices, and governance for code quality, security, and compliance.</li> <li>Provide strong financial oversight of the enterprise applications portfolio including multi-million dollar operating and capital budgets, forecast accuracy, and total cost of ownership optimization</li> </ul> </li> <li><b>Innovation:</b> <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li>Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.</li> </ul> </li> <li><b>Vendor Management:</b> <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li>Manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners as needed.</li> <li>Lead vendor governance for enterprise platforms and services, ensuring performance, compliance, and alignment with enterprise standards and SLAs.</li> </ul> </li> <li><b>Risk Management:</b> <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li>Identify and mitigate risks related to platform performance, security, and scalability.

</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p style="margin-bottom:4px"><b><u>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required (KSAR)</u></b></p> <ol> <li style="margin-bottom:11px"><b><u>Requires</u></b> prior responsibility for twenty or more professionals <b><u>including offshore resources.</u></b></li> <li style="margin-bottom:11px"><b><u>Requires</u></b> prior experience with commercial/revenue generating Product Development on a global platform.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:11px"><b><u>Requires</u></b> prior experience with financial analysis, budgeting and reporting for capital projects and operations expenses.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:11px">Clarity and conciseness in oral and written communications; demonstrated capability to produce effective presentations for delivery to both technical and non-technical audiences.</li> <li style="margin-bottom:11px">Strong interpersonal skills to achieve process changes and departmental goals within a matrix organization; ability to communicate and work well with others at all levels of the corporation.</li> </ol> <div style="margin-bottom:11px"> </div>
