  • What will you do as a Machine Tender?

  • Performs tasks related to the safe operation of a CNC machine in a fast paced metal fabrication facility
  • Uses production software systems to track time and production
  • Manually removes chips from CNC machines
  • Replenishes CNC machines with oils and performs daily or weekly documented PM’s
  • Maintains customer quality control records and charts if required
  • Learns process and product terminology
  • Follows scheduled maintenance plans for all equipment
  • Execute lock out/tag out procedures as required
  • Follows all safety rules
  • Understands and complies with applicable company policies (i.e. attendance, ethics, safety, etc.)
  • Maintains records as required by QMS
  • Works effectively with immediate supervisor to identify and machinery related issues
  • Reports all maintenance problems to supervisor for prompt attention
  • Report any safety issues to supervisor
  • Works with others as required in a team based work environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned 
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Needed for this Position: 

  • High school diploma or general education (GED) preferred
  • Can execute the components of a set up sheet
  • Understanding of basic math skills such as ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to use a calculator with trig functions
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and problem solving skills utilizing them to interact with others in a positive manner
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Self starter, able to work independently
  • Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Candidates are required to regularly use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, control, etc.

    Requirements include close visual inspection, whether with the naked eye or aided with magnifying instruments such as a microscope.

    Must be able to lift up between 45 and 70 pounds on occasion.

    Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, pull, and push.

    This job requires standing on your feet 100% of the time.
