Entry Level Production Trainee (Forge / Hot Operations)

MUST be able to work ANY shift (days, nights, and/or weekends)

Shift times are based on department assignment.

Shifts could vary between 8 hours, 10 hours, or 12 hours depending on the department.



Starting wage of $21/hour.

Pay increase upon receiving level 1 qualifications (within 3 ½ - 6 months depending on candidate training).

Candidates will be subject to a 90-day probationary and training period.

Our Savannah Operations is a heavy industrial forging manufacturing plant located in Midway, Georgia, employs approximately 170 people and is poised for growth!

We have immediate openings for Production Trainees.

The Production Trainee position is an hourly entry level manufacturing job and can be placed in any one of our major departments: Forge, Heat Treat, Coating and Conditioning, etc.


Candidates will perform a variety of tasks including the following: setting up the presses, assisting with die changes, manually moving product in and out of the furnace, checking temperatures, operating equipment for machining and inspections, operating hand tools, grinding parts, coating parts, and other related general manufacturing work.

Job Requirements:


+ Candidates must have the flexibility to rotate in different positions throughout the plant

+ Candidates MUST be able to work any shift

+ Subject to preemployment contingencies: drug test, physical, and background check

Basic Qualifications:


+ Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

+ Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

+ This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Preferred Qualifications:


+ 1+ years of manufacturing experience

+ 1+ years of experience operating mobile equipment

+ 1+ years of experience using hand tools, power tools, and other related equipment




Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in extreme heat, extreme cold, and be exposed to dust and smoke in the work environment on a daily basis.

Continuously required to wear common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats.

Ability to use computers.

Ability to read and understand work instructions.

Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions.

Continuously required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

The ability to raise/lower an object with control by reaching near floor, knee, waist, or chest levels.

The ability to keep or regain balance or remain upright when walking on varying surfaces.

The ability to make precisely coordinated movements with fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, place or assemble.

The ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
