Overview

Join to apply for the User Experience Designer role at Epic.

Please note that this position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area.

We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance.

As a UX Designer, you’ll act as the lead experience and visual designer for several development teams, setting the direction for joyful design.

You’ll meet with end-users to understand their needs, research workflows, and observe our applications in context.

You’ll work with developers to design intuitive, beautiful applications with strong information architecture, and demonstrate ideas through sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead experience and visual designer for multiple development teams.
  • Collaborate with end-users to understand needs and workflows.
  • Research, design, and iterate on information architecture and UI for Epic applications.
  • Create sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to demonstrate ideas.

Qualifications

  • Available to start before June 2026
  • Solid portfolio demonstrating strong user experience and visual design skills
  • Education or experience in user-centered design techniques
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • COVID-19 vaccination
