THE ROLE: As part of the AMD EPYC Server team, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation to build cutting-edge server products that drive the next evolution in the datacenter.

Our server platform team is looking for strategic leaders who are passionate about server technology and eager to contribute to our mission of delivering the best EPYC server products with unparalleled performance, quality and reliability.

The role demands expertise in project management, resource planning, risk management, and analytics.

THE PERSON: As an EPYC Platform Program Manager you will plan and drive key engineering initiatives to meet the product requirements for a successful EPYC server launch.

You must have intimate knowledge of technical program management along with an outstanding track record of delivering sophisticated hardware and software programs.

You will be responsible for driving program schedules that align with business strategy, ensuring that every phase of the project meets our high standards for quality and performance.

Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, as you'll guide a global team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver exceptional EPYC server solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Defines, plans and drives program objectives based on management and senior technical guidance Possesses a thorough knowledge of the principles of project management and can apply them effectively on small to large size projects Has responsibility for projects or processes of significant technical importance and for results that cross engineering project areas Initiates significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiency Creates and maintains project management artifacts such as a program schedule, plan of record, statements of work, budget, scope, performance, and quality KPIs Provides comprehensive views of project status updates and facilitates cross development team dependencies and communication Identifies action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle Collaborates with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions Collect, analyze, organize and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports Drive continuous improvement and program lessons learned PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Industry experience in project management, technical program management and customer relationship management Demonstrated ability to manage program schedules and align them with broader business objectives Detailed understanding of Software and Hardware Development Life Cycle including requirements management, documentation management, and defect management Strong analytical skills: capable of structuring complex analysis, extracting key insights, drawing actionable conclusions, and effectively communicating recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Executive communication: proficient in both written and verbal communication, able to provide concise summary of program progress, risks, or status of critical issues Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate concepts, processes, and progress with multiple stakeholders Experience in horizontal leadership/matrix management, with the ability to lead and influence teams across multiple functions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight turnaround times Experience with productivity and project tools including Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence and Office Suite Experience with Agile methodology ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Formal project management education, PMP certified LOCATION: Austin, Texas #LI-JE1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
