**Job Summary/Purpose**

This position provides the estimation, detailed cost analysis, and financial compilations necessary for project evaluation, project authorization, and project management.

Estimators work with the Project Managers/Project Team to develop cost estimates for Capital Projects in support of procedural requirements, and for direction, communication, and guidance to Project Managers.

**Job Duties/Responsibilities**

+ Financial analysis including detailed project cost estimation and budget development.
+ Collect and analyze data to estimate the money, materials, labor, and time that a capital project requires, in addition to any associated overhead expenses.
+ Convert project estimates to control budgets in accordance with the applicable code of accounts and work breakdown structure.
+ Analyze cost data, physical progress data, and schedule data to predict the prospective financial performance of the project; prepare annual expenditure budgets; and assess project risk registers to formulate mitigating contingency values as needed.
+ Create reports of detailed estimates and project budgets for nuclear capital projects.
+ Close coordination is required with Superintendents, Project Managers, Contract Managers, Engineering, Supply Chain, Financial Business Partners, Accounting, and Project Controls to ensure timely and accurate reporting of project estimates.
+ Conduct field walkdowns.
+ Perform final analysis during project closeout.

**Minimum Requirements**

**Minimum education required of the position:**

+ **Estimator, I, II, III:** Desired: B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, or applicable course of study or related work experience preferred.

Required for Estimator Sr.
+ **Estimator, Sr:** Required: B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, or applicable course of study or related work experience preferred.

**Minimum experience required of the position:**

+ **Estimator I:** 0+ years of estimating or equivalent experience to include field work.
+ **Estimator II:** 2+ years of estimating or equivalent experience to include field work.
+ **Estimator III:** 4+ years of estimating or equivalent experience to include field work.
+ **Estimator Sr:** 6+ years of estimating or equivalent experience to include field work.

**Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position:**

+ Knowledge and experience in the management and control of large, complex utility capital projects.
