**The Expert Cybersecurity will focus on threat intelligence, security analysis, incident response, and response engineering & planning activities in AT&T with an emphasis on network architecture and design.** AT&T’s network security is an ever-changing landscape full of threats to both our own infrastructure and that of our customers.

To stay ahead in this arena the company needs to constantly expand our knowledge and capabilities in this complicated space.

One of the missions of the Chief Security Office is to leverage this knowledge and capability into all areas of AT&T’s business.

This mission has required us to expand the resources required to maintain this level of security.

This position will have a strong focus in enhancing our Enterprise security posture and maintain a strong working relationship with our counterparts delivering our commercial and government services.

**Summary of Work**

+ Proactive Threat Hunting & Incident Response: Lead continuous, proactive monitoring and hunting for sophisticated cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

Quickly respond to incidents using advanced detection, investigation, and containment techniques.
+ Security Strategy & Policy Enforcement: Develop, implement, and refine security policies and incident management procedures that safeguard critical systems and data.
+ Risk Analysis & Innovative Solutions: Conduct in-depth risk assessments and develop strategic mitigation plans.

Champion cutting-edge cybersecurity innovations that enhance the company’s defensive posture.
+ Technical Expertise & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide expert-level technical support on security challenges.

Collaborate closely with IT and business units to integrate and optimize security controls across all operations.
+ Diverse Cybersecurity Domains: Spearhead initiatives in cyber incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, digital forensics, software assurance, IoT security, policy standards, and more.

**Required Skills**

+ Knowledge of tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with malicious insider activity, organized crime/fraud groups and both state and non-state sponsored threat actors.
+ Understanding of cloud-based architectures and highly distributed big data architectures.
+ Experience with Malware (including reverse engineering) and with internal and external attacks.
+ Ability to design, implement, and optimize large-scale telecommunications networks.
+ Work with core infrastructure, transport networks (fiber, microwave, etc.), IP/MPLS routing, and supporting services like VoIP, mobile backhaul, and broadband delivery.
+ The role often involves collaboration with operations, field teams, and vendors to ensure high availability and performance of network services.
+ Strong understanding of network security threats including APT, Botnets, Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, worms, and network exploits.
+ Deep technical knowledge of Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems as both an expert user and system administrator.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of software security testing principles, practices, and tools, experience of vulnerability assessments in a complex environment.
+ Experience with Malware (including reverse engineering) and with internal and external attacks.
+ Experience or familiarity with vulnerability analysis, computer forensics tools, cryptography principles.
+ Excellent teamwork skills for collaboration on analysis techniques, implementation, and reporting.
+ Must be able to work both independently as well as effectively work in teams of individuals with a variety of skills and backgrounds.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and have demonstrated ability to present material to senior officials.
+ Highly self-motivated requiring little direction.
+ Demonstrates creative/out-of-the-box thinking and good problem-solving skills.
+ Demonstrates strong ethical behavior.

Our Expert Cybersecurity earns between $155,400-$233,200 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.

Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
