We are pleased to announce that Stanford Radiology has opened a broad area search in translational medical imaging.
This position is full time at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level and will be appointed in the Molecular Imaging Program at Stanford (MIPS) division of Radiology.
Stanford University and the Department of Radiology have made substantial commitments towards the expansion of MIPS including new space at the Technology & Innovation Park and the creation of a second advanced radiochemistry facility.
Appointments will be in the University Tenure Line or Non-Tenure Line (Research).
The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching.
The major criterion for appointment for faculty in the Non-Tenure Line (Research) is evidence of high-level performance as a researcher for whose special knowledge a programmatic need exists.
Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
We seek applicants committed to developing a research program focused on translational medical imaging.
This includes but is not limited to novel imaging instrumentation, novel chemistry/materials science for molecular imaging agent development, novel assay development, mathematical modeling, and translation of imaging strategies for clinical application.
Scientists with a research focus related to radiochemistry are particularly encouraged to apply.
We are interested in applicants who have multidisciplinary experience that can be applied to the development of disease detection and management approaches.
The qualified candidate should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree(s) with experience in a relevant field.
Candidates must have an interest in leading an independent research program and participating in our center-wide efforts to translate novel technologies or methodologies into clinical practice and have the desire to collaborate with investigators in Stanford’s multi-disciplinary molecular imaging research effort, which includes faculty in the Schools of Medicine, Engineering, and Humanities & Sciences, as well as external investigators.
The ideal candidate will have potential trajectory and/or demonstrated breadth of preparation, as exemplified by significant clinical and/or research experience resulting in high impact publications in biomedical research.
A successful candidate will be expected to obtain substantial grant funding (e.g., NIH award(s)), and engage in multi-disciplinary research.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are committed to excellence in research, teaching, and mentoring of students in multi- disciplinary biomedical research.

**Salary Range:**
The expected base pay range for this position is:
Assistant Professor: $192,000 - $210,000
Associate Professor: $226,000 - $250,000
Professor: $276,000 - $376,000
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank.
It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
