Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to oversee all field-related operations for our growing electrical contracting company.
This leadership role involves managing journeymen, foremen, and apprentices while serving as the critical link between field operations and project management.
Our company specializes in commercial, multifamily, and high-end residential electrical projects.
Primary Responsibilities
Field Personnel Management
Supervise and manage electricians, foremen, and apprenticesSchedule and assign crews to projects based on needs and timelinesConduct evaluations and provide coaching and trainingAssist with hiring, onboarding, and staff developmentEnforce safety standards and OSHA complianceHandle performance issues and discipline when necessary Site Coordination & GC Relations
Maintain daily presence across job sites in the Denver metro areaAct as main contact for General Contractors (GCs) and project teamsCoordinate electrical work with other trades and project schedulesAttend daily and weekly meetings with GC teamsResolve on-site issues through communication and problem-solvingOversee logistics like material delivery, crew access, and safety Quality Control & Safety
Conduct site visits to ensure quality and code complianceEnforce safety protocols on all job sitesTroubleshoot and resolve field issuesOversee proper use and care of tools and equipmentWork with project managers on changes and field adjustments Operations Management
Develop efficient field processes and workflowsTrack productivity and identify improvement opportunitiesOversee vehicle fleet maintenance and complianceCoordinate with vendors and suppliers for field supportKeep accurate records of field staff and job site activities Required Qualifications
● Electrical Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in electrical construction
● Leadership Experience: 3-5 years managing electrical crews or field operations
● Education: High school diploma required; electrical trade school or associate degree preferred
● Licensing: Valid Colorado driver's license; Master Electrician license preferred
● Technical Skills: Proficient in electrical codes (NEC), blueprint reading, and project management software
● Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
● Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various field conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
