We’re seeking a seasoned Telecom Field Operations Technician to support a major fiber and telecom infrastructure across Gulfport, MS and surrounding areas.

What You’ll Do

+ Install, maintain, and support fiber optic infrastructure, voice/data networks, and telecom transport systems

+ Perform fiber optic splicing, stripping, and emergency repairs (OSP, aerial, and buried)

+ Configure IP networks including routers and servers

+ Oversee installations and coordinate with contractors and vendors

+ Maintain accurate circuit documentation and equipment inventories

+ Support SCADA systems and use tools like Site Tracker for project oversight

+ Respond to reactive and preventive maintenance needs across field sites

+ Participate in 24x7 on-call operations as needed

What You Bring

+ 5+ years of hands-on experience in telecom or electronics technology

+ Strong background in IP networking and fiber optic repair/splicing

+ Familiarity with microwave, wireless, voice, and data network topologies

+ Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software across telecom systems

+ Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 50 miles/day

+ Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in field conditions

+ Must pass a DOT physical exam

Nice to Have

+ FCC license or equivalent radio repair certification

+ Experience with SCADA systems and Site Tracker

+ Military electronics training or technical degree in telecom/electronics

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $26.00/hr.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
