Urgent! Field Service Tech III Job Opening In Jacksonville – Now Hiring BAE Systems
**Job Description**
BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, has an opening for a Field Service Technician (FST).
Candidate shall have worked on the USN MK-41 VLS; and may be asked to travel (up to 50%).
Some of the work includes:
- Install, test, repair, maintain and remove electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic systems and equipment.
- Assist in coordinating tests or experiments requiring selection and adaptation or modification of a wide variety of test equipment and test procedures.
- Assist in setting up and operating equipment and records data.
- Conduct preliminary analysis of test results and reports findings to senior employees.
- Assist in the preparation of tooling documentation and coordinates the movement of these items to assigned field operations.
- Assist in the preparation of required documentation and reporting to upper management.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
- Share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
**Must have the Navy Enlisted Classifications:** V64B/V65B (VLS Operations and Maintenance).
- Nine (9) yearsof experience in thepreventive and corrective maintenance actions on the Vertical Launch Systems and Mk-38 25mm guns.
- Must have conducted inspections and maintenance on the Vertical Launch Systems and the Mk-38 25mm gun system.
- Working knowledge of reading blueprints and technical repair standards.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, database, email, and calendar software.
- Ability to gather information from a variety of sources.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively with other personnel both inside and outside of the organization.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
- MK 41 Vertical Launching Systems ISEA/FSR Course, certificate of completion.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $51086 - $81738
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
