Field Service Technician PC & Printer

Overview:
This hands-on, customer-facing role involves providing on-site technical support for a variety of PC and printer hardware.

The technician will handle break/fix services for laptops, desktops, workstations, and retail point-of-sale systems.

Experience with printers is highly valued.

The position is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys solving problems independently.
Responsibilities:

+ Deliver on-site hardware support including installation, configuration, repairs, and troubleshooting of PC and printer equipment.

+ Guide customers through technology usage and maintenance best practices.

+ Respond to service requests and collaborate with escalation teams to resolve complex technical issues.

+ Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction while supporting business goals and budget requirements.

+ Understand the business impact of service delivery and make informed decisions accordingly.

Key Skills & Competencies:

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and alignment equipment.

+ Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues, including those involving third-party software, networking components, and switches.

+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction.

+ Capable of managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.

+ Independent problem-solving and decision-making within established procedures.

+ Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility for administrative tasks.

+ Business awareness and ability to assess the financial implications of service actions.

+ Familiarity with industry technologies and ability to recommend practical solutions.

+ Quick assessment of technical situations and adaptability to operational challenges.

Preferred Experience:

+ Prior experience in field service or technical support roles.

+ Strong experience in printer maintenance and repair.

+ Proven ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with team goals.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
