Job description

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm / Security / Access Control Technician to join our service team in Las Cruces, NM.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage life safety and security systems across various commercial and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm, security, and access control systems

  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure systems remain fully operational and compliant with applicable codes and standards

  • Diagnose issues, replace components, and verify proper system functionality

  • Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure timely completion of service work orders

  • Maintain detailed service reports and documentation

  • Adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices

Qualifications:

  • Active NM ES3J license (required)

  • 3+ years of experience servicing fire alarm, security, or access control systems

  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage wiring, system programming, and device configuration

  • Experience with major systems such as Notifier, Fire-Lite, EST, Honeywell, Bosch, Lenel, or HID (preferred)

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record

Additional Details:

  • Limited travel primarily local service calls
