The Freezer Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise within a cold storage or freezer warehouse environment.
This role requires working in sub-zero temperatures and following all safety and compliance guidelines to maintain product integrity and workplace safety.
Multiple shifts available- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.
Shift times vary.
Operate stand-up forklifts in freezer/cold storage areas.
Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
Move products to and from storage locations with accuracy and care.
Pick, wrap, and stage orders for shipment according to company standards.
Perform routine checks on equipment and report maintenance issues promptly.
Ensure correct product labeling, inventory tracking, and documentation.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety standards.
Follow company SOPs for food safety, hygiene, and handling of frozen goods.
Work in cold or freezing temperatures (often -10°F to -20°F / -23°C to -29°C) for extended periods.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Valid forklift certification/license (preferred).
1–2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment; cold storage experience preferred.
Ability to work in extreme cold conditions for extended periods with proper PPE.
Basic math, reading, and inventory skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
Freezer/cold storage environment.
Shift work, including nights, weekends, or holidays, may be required.
Standing, walking, and operating equipment for most of the shift.
