This self-starting and motivated individual, as part of the Foundry Maintenance team, will be responsible for maintaining, testing and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
They will be responsible for triaging work as needed and applying their own knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and restoring equipment to operation.
The Foundry Maintenance Mechanic provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.
This position reports to the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor, and is on site based in Franklin, NH.
Standard hours are 10 pm – 6am
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment.
+ Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
+ Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
+ Advises operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
+ Informs appropriate management and maintenance mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
+ Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
+ Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
+ Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting and may train other members of the maintenance team.
+ Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor or Company management.
+ Travel Requirements: up to 10% for training as needed
Required Qualifications
+ 3+ years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
+ Computer experience/operation and PLC programming are necessary.
+ Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
+ A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
+ Must be able to work respectfully and professionally with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment and especially must be able to clearly interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
+ Willing to work overtime as required.
+ High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.
+ Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
+ Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including [insert checks], and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

+ Experience with cutting, welding and fabrication preferred.
+ Ability to cover other shifts preferred.

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility.
You will be required to work at the Company’s Franklin location in NH.
Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
