An Air Freight Forwarder is responsible for managing and coordinating the importation and exportation of goods by air, including all necessary documentation, scheduling, and communication with customers and third-party service providers.
This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication skills to manage relationships with customers and ensure their satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the importation of goods by air, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination
Manage and coordinate the exportation of goods by air, including scheduling with airlines and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channels
Communicate with airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods
Prepare and process required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers on the status of their shipments
Manage relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
Collaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws
All other duties as assigned.
Educational background / Work experience
Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred
Experience in Freight Forwarding is highly desirable

Experience with logistics software and systems is preferred
For this position, the expected base pay is $24-$32 per hour.
Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
