Gamecompanies is hiring: Motion Graphics Artist Trainee Teamfight Tactics No l

Job description

Motion Graphics Artist Trainee - Teamfight Tactics - removed

Established in 2020, Riot Singapore is a game development studio focused on delivering great experiences to our players.

We partner with our Los Angeles headquarters and Riot Games offices around the world to develop games such as League of Legends, Valorant, Teamfight Tactics, and 2XKO.

Riot Singapore is seeking talented, passionate Rioters to build games that make it better to be a player.

That’s where you come in.

As a Motion Graphics Artist Trainee (Contract) on the Teamfight Tactics team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and bringing critical UI features to life across our products.

Leveraging your technical expertise and aesthetic judgment in motion and compositing, you will transform static images into dynamic works of art.

Your work will define how project elements interact, evolve, transition, celebrate, and function, ultimately contributing to a more elevated and immersive player experience.

Motion Graphics Artists operate at the intersection of art and technology, collaborating closely with visual designers, UX designers, product designers, audio designers, and engineers.

As a key contributor, you will craft motion graphics that enhance the around-game experience and deepen player engagement with Teamfight Tactics cosmetic content.

You will then translate your creative vision into real-time executions by working directly within the game engine, balancing aesthetics, functionality, and performance to deliver exceptional results

Please note that Riot Games does not offer relocation packages for this position.

You need to be able to work legally in Singapore, without Riot Games’ sponsorship, to be considered.

Responsibilities:

Create UI animatics by animating menus, buttons, navigation flows, and UI elements according to Riot’s and Teamfight Tactics’s quality standards and style.

Design motion for UI experiences deployed across a range of devices and form factors, including PC, mobile, and tablet.

Work alongside engineers, UX designers, and visual designers to translate animatics into interactive experiences.

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team throughout all stages of development, from concept to in-engine implementation.

Work within proprietary tools and workflows to efficiently import/export assets, optimize animations, and streamline development pipelines.

Required Qualifications:

1–2 years of professional experience as a Motion Graphics Artist/Designer in the UI space for games or apps.

Portfolio demonstrating proficiency in motion graphics fundamentals, including easing, pacing, timing, composition, and legibility.

Portfolio showcasing experience creating motion graphics for real-time UI, such as celebrations/ceremonies, design systems, notifications, HUDs, interactive states, and screen transitions.

Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, along with industry-standard plugins (e.g., VFX particle plugins, Trapcode Suite, X-Particles).

Understanding of mobile development limitations, best practices, and how to adapt executions across different form factors.

Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with version control tools and game development workflows/pipelines.

Experience working with proprietary tools or game engines such as Unity or Unreal.

Experience animating with Spine 2D.

Knowledge of League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics IP and visual style.

When submitting your application, please include a portfolio showcasing your past work.

Don’t forget to include a resume and cover letter.

We receive a lot of applications, but we’ll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you take play seriously.
