Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary spatial computer that seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space.
It will allow us to do the things we love in ways never before possible — all while staying connected to the people around us.
In this position, you will join a team of computer vision and machine learning researchers and engineers to discover and build solutions to previously-unsolved challenges and push the state of the art.
We are looking for a driven and dedicated computer vision/machine learning engineer or researcher, optimally with experience in 3D computer vision algorithms, such as object detection, pose estimation, generative models, or tracking.

**Description**
You’ll be working in a team of computer vision and machine learning researchers and engineers to implement world class algorithms that pushes the state of the art.
Your job responsibilities will include:
- Inventing and implementing state of the art computer vision algorithms to solve cutting edge problems
- Designing such algorithms to work reliably and efficiently on mobile devices
- Collaborating with other teams in software and hardware to ensure the full pipeline runs efficiently and utilizes Apple hardware effectively
- Cooperating with your team members to prepare presentations, papers, and talks to explain your inventions
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Ph.D. in Computer Vision or Machine Learning - or - M.Sc. in related field with 4 years of experience
+ Strong experience in machine learning, preferably in 3D computer vision
+ Solid foundation in 3D geometry and linear algebra
+ Solid experience in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in generative ML is a big plus
+ Good experience in Python and science libraries like Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib
+ Experience in C++ is a plus
+ Experience in 3D graphics and rendering is a big plus
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills
+ Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills
+ Track record of successfully building and shipping products or open source projects
+ Creativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problems
**Pay & Benefits**
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
