**Position Overview**

**Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE)** has an opening for a dynamic Geotechnical Engineer Intern in our growing Geotechnical Group.

You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines.

This is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects.

**Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers** seamlessly transitions solutions from design to construction through the collaborative efforts of Design Engineering, Design Management, Proposals, Estimating, and Integrated Project Controls.

Our construction-focused engineering approach involves a multidisciplinary team working together to maximize value for clients by improving schedules, controlling costs, and minimizing risk on infrastructure projects.

**Location**

This position is based in our Lenexa, KS, Omaha, NE or Houston, TX office.

**Responsibilities**

• Foundation design, subsurface exploration, and construction engineering
• Repair geotechnical reports and specifications
• Review and check design calculations

**Qualifications**

• Pursuing a Master's degree or higher in Geotechnical Engineering or a related degree
• GPA above a 3.0 preferred
• Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong work ethic - willing to do what it takes to get the job done
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Be willing to fully participate in job assignments at the job site, district office or department to which the intern is assigned #LI-IPLA
