Government Contracts Cost Analyst



Job description

Mainstream Engineering is seeking a Government Contracts Cost Analyst to support pricing, costing, and compliance activities for government and commercial contracts.

Position Summary

  • Responsible to accurately cost new products
  • Responsible to make sure all custom products are quoted at a price that fits the corporate goals.
  • Assist in all pricing proposals and ensure they are submitted timely to interested parties
  • Prepare Certificate of Current Cost or Pricing Data (CAPA)
  • Ensure transactions are processed correctly in ERP throughout the sales process
  • Ensure invoice amounts are accurate and in accordance with contract terms
  • Creation & Submission of reports through various government web portals
  • Organization & update of commercial contract files
  • Review contract terms and conditions to verify that they are in compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations
  • Clearly explain contract terminology to interested parties in simple, everyday language
  • Track all projects to ensure profitability
  • GSA Maintenance
  • All CPFF Invoicing
  • Annual Commercialization Report
  • FSRS – sub contract reporting
  • Job Maintenance in Sage and Time clock

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree business field
  • US citizen required due to strict ITAR regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organization skills and the ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of negotiation best practices
  • Ability to think clearly and rationally under pressure
  • Must be able to work some late nights to meet contractual deadlines
