Salary Range: $60,000 – $90,000 annually

Apache Junction Unified School District is entering a transformative
chapter—expanding student services, strengthening staff development, and

To fuel these initiatives, we’re seeking a Grants Manager
who can secure and steward external funding aligned with our strategic goals.
This role
is not just about writing proposals—it’s about building sustainable systems that support
equity, innovation, and long-term success across the district.

The Grants Manager will be a key driver in turning
vision into action through targeted grant acquisition and compliance.
What You’ll Do
Lead Grant Strategy: Develop and execute a district-wide grant strategyaligned with strategic priorities,
including student support, staffing, and program innovation Write & Submit Proposals: Craft compelling, data-informed proposals for federal, state, and private funding sources Track & Report: Maintain accurate records of submissions, awards, deadlines, and reporting requirements Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with program leads, finance, and leadership to gather data, budgets, and impact metrics Build Relationships: Cultivate connections with funders and community partners to expand AJUSD’s funding network Support Strategic Goals: Help drive district initiatives by securing resources that fuel long-term success
What We’re Looking For 3–5 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or public education development Proven success securing funding from federal agencies (e.g., U.S. Department of Education), state education departments, or major foundations Deep understanding of education-related funding streams, including Title I, ESSER, ESEA, and others Experience working in K–12 education settings, either in administrative or support roles Familiarity with compliance and reporting requirements for public school grants Strong writing, editing, and research skills Experience with grant tracking systems or donor databases Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
