Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

The primary purpose of the role is to develop asset management plans that document the life cycle activities to be undertaken, so that the assets can provide the defined level of service and organisational outcomes in the most cost-effective way.

The plans will use advanced financial modelling to provide sensitivity analysis and whole of life costs across capital, renewal, and operating expenditure to support optimised decision making.

Note: Preference will be given to internal Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora candidates.

Mōu | About you

ln the role you will lead and develop standardised asset management planning, including alignment to the strategic context with risks, issues and responses described and work closely with the Regional Asset Management Leads, to develop local, regional and a national, asset management plans over time 1, 3 and 20 years.

You will lead the annual review of asset management plans to inform budget bids, as well as lead the review and regular reporting on delivery of plans.

Success in this role will see you bring a good mix of specialist skills and experience not limited to:

  • Qualification in Asset Management, Property or Finance related field
  • 10+ years skills and experience, including Senior Leadership experience within a similar role
  • Developing and refreshing asset management plans including asset management performance KPI reports
  • Analysing asset data to inform asset management plans
  • Developing and undertaking optimised asset investment decision making through financial analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and relevant technical expertise demonstrated by success in leading work in budgeting, CAPEX and OPEX management, variance analysis and investment analysis.
  • Credibility with, and proven experience engaging with internal business leaders and specialists to support their objectives whilst maintaining a view of organisational constraints
  • Experience leading leaders and other senior staff, including building capability, and lifting performance of a business unit, and supporting through change
  • Demonstrated experience driving and influencing change within a matrix environment through implementation of strategically significant initiatives
