Job Description Job Description Overview: The HAAS CNC Machinist will set up and operate machines.
Key Responsibilities: Setup and operate HAAS VF-9 CNC machine Program and edit using Mastercam 2025 Read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and/or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers Set up and operate manual Bridgeport milling machines for secondary operations, prototyping, or low-volume production Perform conventional machining tasks including drilling, tapping, facing, and slotting using Bridgeport equipment Maintain and inspect Bridgeport tooling and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors, such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media Start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media as required.
Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications, using precision measuring instruments Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, hand tools, and power tools Verify dimensions and alignment of assembly, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks Any additional duties assigned by management Qualifications & Experience: Any combination of education and/or experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.
