An experienced and highly motivated Electrical Hardware Development Manager is needed to lead a team of electrical validation engineers.
You will be responsible for electrical testing of our industry leading CPU and GPU based server products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer or embedded systems design and testing, proven leadership skills, and experience managing a technical team in a fast paced, new product development environment, from initial concept, through production release.
Responsibilities
Oversee the complete lifecycle of electrical validation testing for new server products, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Provide hands -on technical leadership and guidance to the validation team, including mentorship and performance evaluations for the staff. Participate in cross-functional project teams, coordinating with other engineering disciplines (software, mechanical, , manufacturing, and procurement to ensure seamless integration and successful product delivery. Define, document, and implement robust electrical validation, and design qualification testing methodologies and procedures. Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and corporate environment qualification standards (., EMC/EMI, Safety, ISTA, , and best practices. Drive the implementation of continuous process and test automation improvements to enhance test efficiency and team productivity. Collaborate closely with the hardware design and signal integrity teams to review and provide input on new board designs with an emphasis on testability to ensure optimal test point access and test coverage. Investigate and troubleshoot product field failures and manufacturing yield issues, determine root causes, and propose effective solutions. Contribute to strategic planning and proposal efforts, including the development of hardware baselines, cost estimates, and scheduling. Generate and present technical project presentations to senior engineering leadership. Develop and manage capital equipment and expense budgets. Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (BSEE or BSCE) or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. 10+ years of experience in electrical hardware design and test, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role. Demonstrated experience with a variety of circuit types, including high speed computer sub-systems and interfaces, ., PCIe, DDR SPI, etc., analog, embedded digital, and power. Knowledge of PCB design specification, layout, and fabrication. Experience with high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis. Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles. Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues. Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
