Job Title: Hardware Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineer who will play a crucial role in analyzing system specifications and translating them into test requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing test software, troubleshooting printed circuit boards (PCBs), designing cable harnesses, and creating onboard electrical schematics for systems.
Additionally, the engineer will serve as the primary technical interface with the Onboard Lead and Work Package Leader throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a technical liaison with the Mechanical group.
Responsibilities
+ Analyze system specifications and decompose them into test requirements.
+ Develop test software and troubleshoot printed circuit boards (PCBs).
+ Design cable harnesses.
+ Create onboard electrical schematics for systems.
+ Serve as the primary technical interface to the Onboard Lead and Work Package Leader.
+ Act as a technical liaison with the Mechanical group.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience as a Hardware Engineer with PCB/electronic schematic development.
+ Proficiency in designing, debugging, and testing PCBs.
+ Experience in identifying and solving hardware issues.
+ Experience in creating electrical schematics for boards.
+ Experience in creating cable harnesses.
+ Experience with integration of cabling with mechanical racks.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Ability to work well with others.
+ Self-motivated with problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills
+ Experience with Altium for PCB design.
+ Participation as a team member throughout the requirement, design, implementation, and verification phases of the project lifecycle.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work environment, with the option to work on-site for 2 days and remotely for 3 days.
There is potential for this role to transition into a fully remote position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
