HARDWARE RELIABILITY TECHNICIAN, ROOT CAUSE (STARLINK)
SpaceX is leveraging our experience building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world’s largest satellite constellation and most advanced broadband internet system.
We provide reliable and fast internet to millions of users worldwide, including populations with little or no connectivity, rural communities, aircraft, watercraft, and places where existing services are unreliable, too expensive, or disconnected by natural disasters.
We design, build, test, and operate all parts of the system, thousands of satellites and consumer antennae that allow users to connect within minutes of unboxing.
The Starlink team is seeking out the best-in-class professionals to maximize Starlink’s potential for communities and businesses around the globe.
As a Hardware Reliability Technician on the Starlink team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and quality of Starlink products through manufacturing, test, and installation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Communicate and resolve quality related issues as they relate to the Starlink product department
+ Document production non-conformances in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes as required
+ Support quality management system policies and procedure documentation
+ Support root cause investigations on Starlink products
+ Field return triage and root cause
+ PCB solder rework and x-ray inspections of production MRB for root cause
+ Support production in critical containments and quality alerts
+ Assess production compliance to company and industry standards
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
+ High school diploma or equivalency certificate
+ 1+ years of experience working in a production, mechanical, or manufacturing environment
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
+ 2+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field
+ Experience working with root cause/corrective action systems
+ Self-motivated, proactive, and experience managing multiple priorities and tasks
+ Practical experience working within quality management systems (ISO 9001)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends, as needed
+ Must be willing to work one of the following shifts upon completion of training:
+ Monday-Friday: 1st shift (8:00am-6:00pm) or 2nd shift (3:00pm-1:00am)
+ Schedule may vary depending on site operational needs and flexibility is required regarding overtime and weekend support
+ Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
