Hardware System Engineer - FPGA Job Opening In Fort Meade – Now Hiring RBR-Technologies

RBR-Technologies is seeking a Hardware System Engineer with FPGA experience to support one of our customers in Maryland.



RESPONSIBILITIES


+ Design and implement FPGA-based digital logic using VHDL or Verilog.



+ Develop simulation testbenches and verify designs using ModelSim or equivalent tools.



+ Synthesize, place & route, and generate bitstreams using Xilinx tools (Vivado/ISE).



+ Collaborate with systems engineers and software developers to integrate hardware into embedded systems.



+ Perform timing analysis, resource utilization reviews, and constraint optimization.



+ Document designs, test plans, and results in support of project requirements.



+ Participate in lab testing, debugging, and validation of FPGA designs on target hardware.



+ Managing system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s) - Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-oriented Architecture (SOA), etc.




REQUIREMENTS


+ TS/SCI with polygraph

+ This position can be filled a a level 1, 2, or 3 based upon experience.

An SE1 requires 7 years of experience; an SE2 requires 14 years; an SE3 requires 20 years of experience

+ Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering efforts is required

+ A bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required; 5 additional years of experience will be considered in Lieu of Degree.




PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


+ Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, or SoC integration.

experience with software programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Ruby on Rails.

Comfortable working in Unix, Linux, and Windows environments.

Experience with scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Tcl).

Understanding of high-speed digital design, interfaces (e.g., SPI, I2C, PCIe), and signal integrity.
