Automation Hardware Test Engineer

Job Description

Join our Avionics team, where we advance aviation electronics and information management solutions for commercial and military customers worldwide.

We serve both internal and external customers, including manufacturing and service centers, and customers across the globe.

Our team provides industry-leading fire protection and safety systems, ensuring passengers reach their destinations safely while keeping aircraft operators, airports, rail, and critical infrastructure connected and informed.

Responsibilities

  • Test manufacturing equipment and tools onsite working 5 days a week.
  • Design, code, test, integrate, and document product test software for aviation products.
  • Design test hardware, including fixtures and circuit boards.
  • Develop engineering estimates for complex tasks.
  • Perform engineering requirements capture, analysis, and creation for complex designs.
  • Lead test software design reviews and generate appropriate design documentation.
  • Prepare and present project and technical information to peers, internal management, and customers.
  • Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain a US DoD Security Clearance
  • Experience in digital electronics, both hardware and software.
  • Proficiency in VB6/VB .NET, C/C++, and LabVIEW.
  • Hands-on experience with test fixtures.
  • Experience with manufacturing test systems.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Robotics experience and RF skills.
  • Proficiency in LabVIEW, test equipment, software testing, validation, and test procedures.
  • Experience in EMI/EMC testing, electrical engineering, and test development.
  • Knowledge of Visual Studio, Visual Basic, C#, and NI Testway for multi-rack test stations.
  • Work Environment

    Work in an engineering lab/test environment with a focus on high technology defense and aerospace equipment.

    This role requires onsite presence in Burnsville, ensuring close collaboration with the manufacturing team and integration of test solutions for aviation systems.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $70.00/hr.
