Join us at Lockheed Martin as an ElectroMechanical Engineer where you will be responsible for product design, development, and production support for the Cable and Interconnects team for our Spacecraft Flight programs.



Location: This position does not support teleworking;the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.



What does this role look like?

The Spacecraft Flight Harness Design team is seeking an experienced ElectroMechanical Engineer who will work closely with senior engineers to develop preliminary 3D concept models of space flight harnesses and cables and ultimately advance them for flight use.




Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

• Develop harness designs, while maintaining performance and test requirements and stress and thermal analysis.
• Identify initial physical architecture for the space vehicle subsystem.
• Leverage team lessons learned and team accomplishments to date into new program architecture concepts as appropriate.
• Generate and release engineering designs, including parts lists, assembly notes, and installation drawings.
• Work on a cross-functional team in the development and integration of government spacecraft systems.
• Participate in iterative design reviews, Engineering Material Review Board (EMRB) hardware discrepancy decisions and Failure Review Board (FRB) as required.
• Resolve test anomalies and support system level testing as required.
• You must be able to work semi-autonomously, helping to deliver our work products and facilitating our team in being accountable for milestone achievements at a high level of reporting.

To be effective in this role, you will need:

• Experience with wire harness and cables design of electricalmechanical interconnects
• 1+ years of professional experience.
