Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Head of Builder Sales to lead Deako's sales strategy and execution with a primary focus on the nation's largest homebuilders.

This executive will own national and regional builder relationships, drive revenue growth, and lead a team dedicated to scaling Deako's presence across top builder accounts.

The role will also support sales initiatives across integrators, electrical contractors, and future market launches.



Key Responsibilities


+ Strategic Leadership


+ Develop and execute the builder sales strategy with a focus on the top national and regional builders.

+ Build market entry strategies for new channels and future launches.

+ Partner with executive leadership to align sales priorities with company growth objectives.



+ Builder Sales & Account Management


+ Lead sales engagement with the largest builders in the U.S., from national agreements to division-level adoption.

+ Negotiate and secure enterprise-wide builder partnerships that deliver revenue growth.

+ Ensure consistent adoption and expansion of Deako across new divisions and communities.

+ Forecast sales using data to provide an accurate assessment of expected revenue generation.





+ Team & Partner Management


+ Build, lead, and develop a high-performing builder sales team.

+ Create scalable programs, incentives, and sales motions that strengthen builder and channel performance.

+ Support integrator and EC sales motions where they intersect with builder programs.



+ Revenue Growth & Execution


+ Drive pipeline development, forecasting, and execution to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

+ Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities through deep partner engagement.

+ Partner with Marketing and Product to ensure builder success and adoption.




Qualifications


+ 5+ years of experience in B2B sales leadership, preferably in residential construction, building products, electrical, or smart home technology.

+ Proven track record of winning and scaling sales across the largest national and regional builders.

+ Strong network and experience managing national builder accounts, integrator networks, and EC markets.

+ Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

+ Data-driven operator with a bias for action and ability to thrive in a fast-growth environment.

+ Experience launching new markets or channels is highly desirable.

+ Experience with HubSpot CRM and Gong.io for sales enablement and pipeline management is strongly preferred.
