Position description

The Department of Neurology and the Multiple Sclerosis Program at the University of California, Los Angeles are recruiting for a new faculty position for further expansion of our multiple sclerosis clinical and research programs.

Requirements & Job Summary:
The successful applicant must have completed a multiple sclerosis fellowship or hold an Assistant Professor position with expertise in clinical MS.

The applicant must have outstanding clinical and teaching skills.

The applicant will participate in the clinical, teaching, and clinical research activities of the UCLA Multiple Sclerosis Program.

This includes providing outpatient clinical care in the UCLA multiple sclerosis clinic, participating in multiple sclerosis clinical trials and attending multiple sclerosis clinical research monthly meetings.

The multidisciplinary UCLA multiple sclerosis program includes NIH, Conrad N.

Hilton Foundation, and other funded research initiatives.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
• Possess a MD, DO or MD/PhD or equivalent
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated strong communication skills to work collaboratively with other disciplines, specialties, and neurological subspecialties.

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
• California medical license or licensure eligibility
• Board certified/eligible in Neurology by the ABPN
• Fellowship training in multiple sclerosis on or before start date.
• Board certification or eligibility in multiple sclerosis on or before start date

The salary range for this position is $136,100 to $250,000 with the opportunity for higher earnings contingent on performance-based incentives.

This position [includes/may include] membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment.
