Helpdesk Technician Job Opening In USA, USA – Now Hiring Selectek


Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Work with MSP to oversee firewalls, networking equipment, servers, databases, malware protection, and VOIP phone systems.

  • Technical Support: Provide Tier-2 support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in person or remotely.

  • Hardware & Software Management: Install, configure, secure, and maintain workstations, printers, scanners, and applications.

  • User & Account Administration: Manage Active Directory (AD), password resets, email maintenance, and access control.

  • Networking & Security: Assist in maintaining firewalls, VPNs, network security, and compliance requirements (DFARS/CMMC preferred).

  • Microsoft Office 365 Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and other Office 365 applications.

  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with MSP to ensure server backups, software/database integrity, and network security/connectivity.

  • Compliance & Cybersecurity: Support ITAR and aerospace security requirements, working towards AS9100 compliance.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of IT assets, issue resolution, and best practices.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of IT experience in endpoint, network, system administration, or engineering.

  • Microsoft Office 365 proficiency, particularly in Exchange Online and SharePoint.

  • Hands-on experience with firewalls & networking (WatchGuard preferred).

  • Windows & Network Security: Strong understanding of Windows environments and cybersecurity fundamentals.

  • Active Directory (AD), DNS, and Identity Access Management (IAM) experience.

  • Technical troubleshooting expertise across hardware, software, and networks.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, IT, or equivalent work experience.

  • Certifications: MCSE, MCSA, Security+, or VMware Certified Professional.

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments, particularly with DFARS/CMMC compliance.

  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, DUO, Windows Defender, WatchGuard VPN, VMware ESXi.

  • Location: Canton, GA (30115)

    Employment Type: 6-month temp-to-perm (potential for full-time hire)

    Pay Rate: $40-$48/hr | $85K-$100K per year DOE

    Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    Remote Work: No (On-site role)
