Job Summary
An exciting opportunity to join a global leader in healthcare diagnostic and research advancement! Their team is actively growing and they seeking to bring on a Laboratory Specimen Processor to their Biorepository team.

You will play an integral role in managing, quality inspecting, processing biological samples, and overall laboratory functions to support scientific research.

These team members will be inspecting, receiving, and routing all incoming client specimens.

At this time, the new project demand requires the following:
Responsibilities:
• Ensure all samples are maintained in the appropriate environment during sample handling, processing, and storage to preserve their biological viability
• Receive inbound shipments and track samples prior to registration
• Register samples received at the Biorepository into various inventory management systems
• Retrieve samples from storage and package/ship them to various global testing laboratories
• Retrieve samples from storage and complete disposal process as requested
• Perform de-identification procedures on samples in order to remove the traceability to the patient
• Perform aliquoting procedures on samples as needed
• Consolidate samples in storage as needed
• Support other sample management departments on the Greenfield campus
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures and perform all departmental and inter-departmental SOP’s as written
Qualifications

+ High School diploma or GED completion.



+ At least 1 year of sample management or warehouse experience.



+ Detail-oriented, reliable with attendance, efficient, and able to work independently or in a team setting within a fast pace metric-driven environment.



+ Data entry and documentation accuracy.



+ Ability to lift 30+ lbs and handle dry ice.



+ Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Suite.



+ Experience in sample management.



+ Data entry and tracking processes.



+ Associates / Bachelor in Life Science

Work Environment
This position is a Monday - Friday, day shift with opportunity for overtime hours.

The work environment is fast-paced, involving the processing of approximately 1,000 samples per day.

The role requires mostly standing and walking, with exposure to sub-zero freezers for sample storage, attention to detail, accuracy for inputting information into the QMS system, and time management skills.

You will work independently with set metrics to reach throughout each shift, but also collaborate with the team and management as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
