Job Title: Hogan Consultant (Mainframe)

Location: Remote (with occasional onsite presence in Hopkins, MN)

Duration: October 13, 2025 – December 26, 2025

Employment Type: Contract

Work Hours: Part-time (20 hours/week)

Job Overview

A part-time Hogan Consultant is needed to support training and development efforts for a newly formed Hogan development team.

This role is critical to the success of a core banking modernization initiative and will focus on hands-on development, testing, and application design within a mainframe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and document complex applications software.
  • Provide hands-on support for Hogan Deposits (DDA & TDA), RPM, CIS, Umbrella, PAS, ODS, and CAMS.
  • Lead conversion efforts and implementation of new Hogan releases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both online and batch environments.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to enhance front-end support methodologies.
  • Contribute to technical architecture and solution delivery.
  • Monitor and verify conversion processes and batch job executions.
  • Required Skills
  • Hogan Application Expertise: Deep knowledge of Hogan Core Banking modules and process dictionary components.
  • Mainframe Development: Proficiency in COBOL II, VSAM, JCL, Easytrieve, and MVS operating systems.
  • Tools & Utilities: Experience with CICS/VSAM, IMS/DB2, Expeditor, Endeavor, Changeman, SORT Utilities, and ICTOOL.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Preferred Experience
  • Prior involvement in Hogan system conversions or new release implementations.
  • Familiarity with PEM, CDMF, Librarian, Logical Environments, and Hogan Abend identification.
  • Experience working in Agile or structured development environments.
