**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking a self-motivated and experienced **Hydrogeologist, who has 4 years of experience** to support environmental investigation and remediation projects in **Parkersburg, West Virginia** .

This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in hydrogeology and environmental consulting, and who bring project management experience or a desire to grow into a leadership role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing site characterization, groundwater investigations, and remediation activities.

The position involves both office and field work, with a focus on technical planning, data analysis, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead or support environmental investigations at a chemical plant site, including groundwater, soil, and vapor sampling.
+ Develop and implement site investigation work plans, health and safety plans, and remediation strategies.
+ Manage environmental data and contribute to conceptual site models.
+ Oversee subcontractors including drilling, excavation, and laboratory services.
+ Conduct aquifer testing, geophysical surveys, and monitoring well installations.
+ Prepare technical reports and regulatory submittals.
+ Support or lead project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
+ Promote a strong safety culture and mentor junior staff.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field.
+ Minimum of 4 years of experience in environmental investigation and remediation OR a combination of experience and education.
+ Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle records check.
+ U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
+ Successful candidate will be required to pass a Drug and Alcohol screen.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 6+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on hydrogeology and remediation.
+ Experience working at chemical manufacturing or industrial sites.
+ Project management experience or demonstrated leadership in environmental consulting.
+ Proficiency in groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling.
+ Strong technical writing and reporting skills.
+ Familiarity with West Virginia environmental regulations.
+ 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and current 8-hour refresher.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and environmental data management tools.
**Additional Information**
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.

The expected range is $55,000.00 - $72,000.00.
