Job Description
A pharmaceutical company is seeking a dedicated Identity Data Protection Engineer to lead our data expansion project, rolling out in a larger capacity.

This role involves working closely with the Legal, Privacy, and Office 365 teams.

Responsibilities:
Data Insight (Veritas) - Utility (1/3 of the time):
• Create reports and define policies using Data Insight (Veritas) version 7.1.2.
• Run queries and work within the consult.
• Collaborate with the Office 365 team.
• Utilize DQL extensively.
Office 365 Security (2/3 of the time):
• Manage and enhance existing security controls for Office 365.
• Implement conditional access policies.
• Perform data tagging and labeling.
• Utilize Purview for data management.
• Create auto labels and develop policies.
• Classify data, including patient data.
• Demonstrate a proven track record in large-scale environments.

• Manage the Veritas Data Insight platform.

Create data usage reports, integrate new sources of Vertex data, create and deploy policies, generate sensitive information tags, create usage metrics for senior leadership, and other tasks related to identifying/tagging data through the Data Insight platform
• Manage the Microsoft Purview security center and Entra ID as it relates to Conditional Access policies, Sensitivity Labels, data classification and tagging, CoPilot dashboards, creation of metrics, and creating training material to expand adoption of identifying and tagging data using Microsoft 365 Sensitivity Labels.

Compensation:
$70/hour to $95/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching.

Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
• Experience with Data Insight (Veritas) and Office 365 security controls
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with the Office 365 admin team and privacy team.
• Expertise in data classification, identifying data, and analyzing data.
• Ability to create reports, define policies, and run queries.
• Proficiency in DQL.
• Knowledge of conditional access policies, data tagging, labeling, and Purview.
• Proven track record in managing data protection in large-scale environments.

• Experience supporting Microsoft CoPilot as it relates to data discovery is a plus.
• Experience supporting SailPoint is a plus.
