The FlowserveIGNITE Early Career Development Program is an elite opportunity for emerging future leaders to fast-track their career while leveraging their engineering background.Accelerated professional growth is obtained through intentional and multi-faceted training experiences over a 3-year period, which will include:
3 rotations in different geographical locations
1st Year rotation aligned to career track
2nd Year rotation in alternative career track
3rd Year rotation aligned to career track
Site Role for each location to help you gain exposure to different jobs and assignments
A tailored and robust curriculum designed to support your knowledge, development, and application of technical, professional, and leadership skills
Diverse project assignments that deliver a visible and significant business impact
All program elements are intentionally and rigorously designed to accelerate emerging early career technical talent into the next generation of highly capable global operational leaders.

IGNITE Tracks:
Our program offers two career tracks to cultivate your technical, business, and leadership capabilities.
Accelerate your career by connecting your engineering training to business strategy and enterprise solutions.
This track is for individuals with the desire to develop business and leadership skills and use their engineering training for business unit and development projects.The ideal candidate should possessbusiness acumen and relationship management skills.
When you complete this track, you will be prepared for commercial and business strategy roles such as Applications Engineering, Commercial Operations, Business Analytics, etc.
Create a career focused on problem-solving, process creation, and systems solutions for operations.
This track is for those interested in applying their technical and leadership skills to advance operational excellence and design engineering solutions.
The ideal candidate should be proficient in coding/software languagesincluding Python, Java, C and C++, SQLetc.
At the end of this track, you will have an applied knowledge of operations, which will prepare you for roles in Operational Excellence, Materials Management, Supervision, Product Design, Supply Chain, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
Learn about the flow control industry, products, competitors, and operations within our business units/platforms (Flow Control, Pumps, Aftermarket Services and Solutions) and our Global Operational Excellence function
Immerse yourself in our Target Zero programs because when it comes to accidents, defects, delays, emissions, and waste, zero truly is the goal for our Flowserve operations
Be an open learner, rotating through assignments that are focused on exposing you to the fundamentals of operational excellence through direct experiences in our facilities in Quality, Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement, Materials Management, ProjectManagement, and Engineering
Challenge yourself to drive change and deliver outcomes through your contributions in your Action Learning Project each rotation, for example:
Collaborate with the sales and commercial operations teams during the order acquisition phase to understand the needs of the customer and support the proposal process to meet those needs
Work directly with a Product Engineer to review the customer purchase order and specifications, compile design information and prepare order documentation, review and approve drawings, and participate in performance testing to support the order fulfillment process
Get involved with our Zero-Defect Program to understand how Quality at every step in our process will ensure a high-performing product, every time, for our customers – analyze metrics and root causes and implement strategies to prevent defects
Implement Lean principles to improve efficiency and productivity within a specific area of the facility, driving out wasteful steps or process gaps that cost time and money
See first-hand how strategic actions to properly balance sales planning with sound inventory management leads to great operational and financial outcomes
Develop your skills as a future leader who makes time to connect effectively, helps everyone to achieve their potential, magnifies your impact through others, and fuels Flowserve as a great place to work

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate Degree in Industrial, Business (in Engineering), Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Chemical, Manufacturing, and Materials Science
Anticipated graduation date by May 2026
Minimum GPA (cumulative) of 3.2 or higher

Highly motivated individuals who are willing to relocate to grow their career during the program (and after)
0-2 years of relevant work experience (internships or co-op)
Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership experience
Strong organization and work/project planning skills
Self-motivated and effective collaborator
Must be comfortable with ambiguity
Understanding of data collection and analytics, and comfortable reporting findings
Transportation required
Mobile within the continental US for a minimum of three years in order to accept assignments at any of our IGNITE program facilities, including but not limited to Springville, UT, Kalamazoo, MI, Chesapeake, VA, Lynchburg, VA, Cookeville, TN, Taneytown, MD, Addison, IL, Moosic, PA, Raleigh, NC, Hastings, NE, Bethlehem, PA, Dallas, TX, and Pasadena, TX
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint skills
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes
Experience with project management tools, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
Experience leading teams to achieve project goals and objectives
Basic Coding (Python, Java, C and C++, SQL)
Understanding of basic business principles
