ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a potential Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a talented team of professionals in support of a state client.

This potential role will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating software development and system modernization activities in a state-wide implementation effort.

SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:


+ Provide project support and oversight of State government software development efforts.

+ Monitor Scrum teams to ensure software development projects are executed properly.

+ Provide oversight of software development activities related to enhancements and maintenance of enterprise software and make recommendations for improvement.

+ Prepare and deliver reports and presentations related to the project and findings to client leadership.



+ Provide insight on key Agile Discovery, Sprint, and Release activities.

+ Monitor projects for risks and issues and report those to the client.



+ Support and contribute to written weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports.



+ Apply advanced thinking to problems with encouragement and support.

+ Proactively conduct research into identified and potential client problems.

+ Conduct deep review of vendor deliverables for the assigned functional scope area for completeness and correctness.

+ Conduct risk assessments to help the client resolve technical issues and/or discrepancies with existing policies and procedures.

+ Engage in team’s strategic discussions.

+ Support the client and stakeholders in achieving project success.




MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related area.

A minimum of eight (8) years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

+ Minimum five (5) years of experience in Independent Verification and Validation in a large and complex software development environment.

+ Preferred previous experience with hands on software development and/or testing.

+ Minimum three (3) years working in an Agile SDLC environment (Scrum, Kanban, Lean Software Development, etc.)

+ PMP Certification

+ Experience with enterprise software transformation, modernization, including migrations and integrations.

+ Familiar with identifying and applying Information Technologies industry standards and best practices.

+ Ability to work and meet deadlines independently as well as part of the team.

+ Strong people and presentation skills

+ Have strong written and oral presentation skills and be able to present ideas in a simple way.




DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


+ Experience providing consulting or advisory services to a government client or agency.

+ Experience with all phases of the IT Disaster Management Cycle.

+ Familiar with challenges associated with Cloud environments, governance, and compliance.

Compensation / Salary Range: Greentree adheres to federal, state, and local regulations.

This is a Full-Time, Salary, Exempt position.
