Job description

**What You'll Do**

We’re looking for an experienced Security Engineer, who is passionate about doing the right thing, to join our Information Security and Risk team.

In this role, you will focus on being a thought leader in our Data Protection Program, helping to architect, design, engineer and implement Data Security and Records Management solutions that protect our company and customer data.

   **Here are few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:**  

+ This position will work side-by-side Product Management, Architecture, Security Engineers and Analysts passionate about protecting and managing data through its lifecycle.

Collaborate with Data Governance, Privacy, Legal, IT and other internal business partners to achieve outcomes and meet our information security and legal/regulatory requirements.
+ Recommend, design and lead implementation of solutions that enable strategic data protection objectives, reduce risk and ensure compliance with policies, standards and regulations.
+ Our ideal candidate can successfully operate at multiple levels; this role will be at the intersection of product/engineering, solution architecture, and stakeholder management.

You must be able to clearly convey highly technical information in a manner that makes sense to a wide range of audiences in both written and oral communication.
+ Work with solutions that improve data security and lifecycle management for on-prem and cloud environments.


+ Develop patterns that can be consumed by enterprise systems to protect data and manage record lifecycles.
+ Provide input to strategy and prioritization of our data protection service.


+ Leverage data and analytics to create metrics that demonstrate compliance and highlight risk.

  
+ Build strong partnerships across enterprise teams.

Garner support, trust, and engagement to proactively overcome barriers to stay product centric.



**Who You Are**

**We are looking for someone with:** ** **  

+ Associate or bachelor’s degree with a preference in a science, technology, engineering, or math related field or equivalent work experience and 6+ years of related work experience.
+ 2+ years of experience in information security engineering with a focus on data security, data governance or data retention preferred.
+ Ability to lead and drive projects requiring a high degree of enterprise collaboration.


+ Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and the ability to quickly deliver to meet organizational needs.


+ Proven experience implementing data discovery and classification frameworks and policies to support access controls, retention schedules, data handling standards, encryption or data loss prevention (DLP) strategies.

**Additionally preferred technical experience:**  

+ Experience optimizing and operationalizing data protection controls and analytics.
+ Data Governance or Data Management.
+ Cloud experience – AWS preferred.
+ Information security and risk management processes, controls engineering and governance.


+ Vendor Management Skills .

**Salary Range Information**

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries.

Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program.

Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.

Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

**Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)**

$123000 - $185000 / year

**Time Off Program**

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.

Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

**Work Environments**

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek).

You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
