Summary:
The Instructional Designer works closely with Talent Development Specialists to identify learning gaps and create high-quality, impactful, and engaging content that addresses the developmental needs across the business.

This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design relevant, replicable, and scalable learning programs suitable for adult learners.

The Instructional Designer leverages instructional design best practices to craft learning solutions that are both innovative and aligned with organizational goals, while ensuring that learning experiences are engaging, accessible, and effective.
Requirements:
+ Learning Needs Analysis: Partners with Talent Development Specialists and business stakeholders to identify learning and development needs, translating those into clear, actionable training objectives.
+ Content Development: Collaborates with SMEs to create instructional content, including e-learning modules, training manuals, job aids, and other learning resources, ensuring that the content is relevant, engaging, and designed to meet the needs of adult learners.
+ Instructional Design: Uses instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to develop scalable and replicable learning experiences that engage adult learners and align with business goals.
+ Quality Assurance: Ensures all learning content is of high quality, well-structured, accessible, and easy to follow, with a focus on practical application in the workplace.
+ Collaboration: Works closely with cross-functional teams, including Talent Development Specialists, SMEs, and other stakeholders, to ensure learning programs meet organizational needs and expectations.
+ Content Evaluation: Assesses regularly and evaluates the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, surveys, and other data to continually improve learning outcomes.
+ Learning Technology: Develops content using various authoring tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other digital platforms to deliver and track learning experiences.
+ Scalability: Designs learning programs that can be easily scaled and replicated across different teams, regions, or business units.
+ Continuous Improvement: Stays updated on best practices in instructional design, learning technologies, and adult education to drive continuous improvement in the content development process.
+ Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
+ Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
+ Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
Safety:
+ Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.

Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
Qualifications:
+ High school/GED is required.
+ Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
+ Certification in Instructional design, e-learning, or related fields (e.g., ATD, ISPI, or similar) is preferred.
+ 2+ years of proven experience in instructional design, with a strong portfolio of e-learning modules, training content, or other learning programs is required.
+ 2+ years' experience working with adult learners, especially in a corporate environment, with a focus on scalable and replicable learning solutions is required.
+ 1+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with subject matter experts to develop relevant content is required.
+ Ability to travel 15-30%.
+ Deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and best practices in e-learning and training development.
+ Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and content development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
+ Knowledge of the renewable energy sector or a willingness to quickly learn industry-specific content.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess learning gaps and translate them into effective training solutions.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with SMEs and stakeholders across the business.
+ Creative mindset and strong attention to detail in developing engaging, interactive, and effective learning content.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and deadlines.
+ Proficiency in using instructional design software and technology platforms to create and deliver content.
+ Bilingual written and verbal fluency in English and Spanish is required to effectively work with SMEs and Stakeholders.
+ Functional Competencies include agility, attention to detail.

Anticipated base salary range: $66,000 - $83,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.

This position is bonus eligible.
