**Position Overview:**

M.C. Dean is seeking a highly motivated and creative Instructional Designer (ID) to create performance-based learning for learners engaged in a highly technical environment.

As the Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation, design, and implementation of engaging and impactful learning materials across various platforms and formats.

Your expertise in instructional design, content development, and educational technologies will be instrumental in shaping the learning experiences for our employees and customers.

Responsibilities

**Responsibilities:**

+ Content Development: Develop comprehensive content aligned with the organization's learning objectives and target audience needs.
+ Instructional Design: Lead the instructional design process to create effective and engaging learning experiences.

Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify learning goals and develop clear learning objectives.
+ Instructional Design Methodologies: Utilize instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
+ Curriculum Development: Oversee the development and maintenance of a diverse range of learning content, including online courses, training materials, videos, webinars, assessments, and other digital and print resources.
+ Content Creation and Review: Create high-quality learning materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established learning standards.
+ E-Learning Platforms: Utilize technologies to enhance the delivery and accessibility of learning content.
+ Multimedia Integration: Explore and integrate multimedia elements, such as graphics, animations, and simulations, to enrich learning content and increase engagement.
+ Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to review and enhance existing learning materials, keeping content up-to-date and relevant.
+ Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, and other stakeholders to gather content and deliver training on effective content development practices.
+ Learning Analytics: Use data analytics and insights to assess the effectiveness of learning content and make data-driven decisions to improve learning outcomes.
+ Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all learning content complies with relevant regulations, accessibility standards, and copyright laws.
+ Provide regular reports and updates on the impact and effectiveness of content development initiatives to the Learning & Development Vice President.
+ Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

**Education & Experience:**

+ Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience.
+ Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Multimedia, or a related field.

A master's degree is a plus.
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field preferred combined with a degree in Education, Instructional Design, Multimedia, or a related field.

A master's degree is a plus.
+ Certification as an Instructional Designer a plus.
+ Certification in Performance DNA or Human Performance Improvement (HPI).
+ Proven experience as an Instructional Designer.

**Skills and Competencies:**

+ Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
+ Experience producing performance-based learning.
+ Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia software.
+ Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
+ Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics in content design.
+ Familiarity with emerging trends and best practices in learning technologies and content development.
+ Experience with blended learning approaches, microlearning, and gamification is a plus.
